Linda's Ordination

Realizing the Lord had called her at an early age; she continued her passion for people, missions, and encouraging those around her. A few years prior she had served in Nova Scotia with sons, Aaron and Nathanial, in short term missions. Although falling short; Linda’s goal was to teach her children by example. Learning to pick yourself up after a major setback can be one of life’s’ toughest lessons.

In 1996 after her youngest son, Nate, faced a near fatal car accident and the family spent the next five years watching God miraculously restore the impossible with his life. It was during this time, she began Linda Volkmar Ministries. This helped propel her love for God, missions, women, healing and health. In 1998, she was able to fulfill a 25 year prayer of serving the people of Africa. Today, she has served in over 9 African countries. She has a special heart for the Rwandan people where she plans to build a school, chapel, homes for orphan children who have suffered from HIV/AIDS tragedies and those surviving the genocide. The government has granted her 21 hectors (9 acres) on which to build in Nyamata, Rwanda.

Linda has held women’s conferences, served as a guest speaker, discipled and mentored many, taught Bible studies, taught school in the inner city, served on several mission fields, served as spiritual advisor to other ministries, and seen the Lord heal miraculously in the lives of others. In March 2006, she was licensed as an ordained minister of the Gospel of Christ with the Association of Church Fellowship International, Inc. However, none are probably as amazed as she at the work He has done within her own life and family.

Currently, the Lord has located her in Santa Monica, California. “House of Peace” opened in 2011 and is currently awaiting a property site. This will provide transitional housing for women and children under 12 who have suffered from domestic violence and sexual assault. Our home will be for those women and families who typically would not fit the government assisted programs and shelters. Linda believes it is out of our own brokenness that we are most effective in serving others.

Her greatest prayer is that others may be touched, healed, and find hope in the love of Jesus. House of Peace will serve as an arm to stop violence whether in the street or behind gated communities.

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind,
to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” - Luke 4:18-19
